Giving is a spiritual decision, a glad offering towards doing God’s work.
Giving is a spiritual decision, a glad offering towards doing God’s work.
Stewardship is our intentional response to God for all that we have been freely given. When we reflect on God’s gifts to us, our response is one of generosity. Effective stewardship springs from our personal desire to give, flowing from gratitude and grounded in faith.
St. John’s is thankful for the ongoing contributions of parishioners and friends. Read on to learn how to give to St. John’s, Lafayette Square, or contact Charley Griffin with questions.

Pledging is a form of stewardship through regular giving that sustains St. John’s, Lafayette Square as a church, community, and historic institution. Our members’ faithful generosity makes it possible for St. John’s vestry, clergy, and staff to produce a realistic budget each year.
Click below to pledge to St. John’s and choose your method and frequency of giving: weekly or monthly; by automatic bank withdrawal, by mail, or at offertory during services.
Pledge FormAs part of our bicentennial celebration in 2016, the Planned Giving Committee created the 1816 Society to honor those who remember St. John’s in their financial planning. To become a member of the 1816 Society, let us know you have chosen to support the ministry of St. John’s, Lafayette Square through a planned gift.
Planned gifts, such as bequests in wills, life-income gifts, or gifts of real estate and life insurance, are an invaluable ministry to our church and congregation. Learn more about giving options at the Episcopal Church Foundation’s website, episcopalgifts.org.
